Medical interests: I have a passion for teaching medicine—whether it’s working with medical students, patients or fellow physicians. I’m also deeply curious about the evolving role of AI in healthcare and excited to see how it continues to shape our field.
Outside Interests: I’ll try just about anything—as long as it doesn’t involve jumping out of a plane (though that might be on the agenda tomorrow). I enjoy hiking, camping, video games, cooking, fishing, bowling, baseball, golf, discovering hidden gems, and rewatching my favorite TV shows.
Life before medicine: I’ve been fortunate to build friendships with people from all walks of life—lawyers, waiters, photographers, executives, musicians, chefs, and more. Each of them has shaped who I am and helped foster the openness and perspective I bring to medicine.
Favorite music: My music choices depend on the vibe. On a long drive, I’ll switch between ‘90s grunge, indie rock, rap, or a good podcast. I mellow out with jazzy tunes in the kitchen, study with EDM, play oldies and classic rock at pool parties, and sometimes drive my friends crazy with System of a Down.
Favorite movies: A timeless classic: Back to the Future. Fun fact—the Gibson guitar Marty plays at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance is still missing. If only we could go back in time to find it!
Why I chose MFMR: Montana Family Medicine Residency came on my radar later in the process, but it quickly stood out. From the moment I connected with members of the program, I was struck by its culture of support and inclusion. The fact that it’s located in Montana—a place surrounded by the nature I love—made it the perfect fit.

Favorite music: I’m very spontaneous when it comes to music, shuffle Spotify and we’re on our way.
Favorite movies: I’m a terrible movie watcher; you’ll more than likely find me getting distracted or falling asleep on the couch midway.
Why I chose MFMR: I chose Montana Family Medicine for its broad-spectrum training that prepares me for full-scope practice. In addition, the welcoming and supportive team stood out, creating an environment where I can grow both personally and professionally.

Medical interests: Rural medicine, preventative care, advance care planning, music as medicine
Outside Interests: Playing violin, hiking, painting and crafting
Life before medicine: In addition to an interest in the life sciences passed down from my parents, I grew up doing a lot of art and music, including painting, dancing, playing piano and violin, and singing in a competitive choir. Upon finishing college, I took a leap away from home and did a year of AmeriCorps VISTA service in Missoula, MT, working on a telehealth initiative for a mental health organization.
Favorite music: J-pop, K-pop, and a good number of semiprofessional singer-songwriters.
Favorite movies: The Studio Ghibli classics.
Why I chose MFMR: After spending a year working in Montana before medical school, which felt all too short, I was eager for the chance to come back as a resident and join the rural medicine community here that had so impressed me before. My interview with MFMR fully assured me that this program would stretch my comfort zone, and push me to be more creative and confident in my medical practice.
