Medical interests: Preventative medicine, diabetic management, women’s health, including prenatal and pediatric care, wilderness medicine.
Outside Interests: Hiking with my wife, spending time with family and friends, team sports, running, cycling, strategy games, going to the movies and being outdoors as much as possible.
Life before medicine: First-generation college and medical graduate, arrived in the USA from Nicaragua at age 12. Studied mathematics and physics through high school and college. I worked in community service projects to assist communities in lower socioeconomic areas, environmental protection and increasing math and science awareness through outreach programs. I aim to serve my community so that others can share the rights, freedoms, and responsibilities that make our house a home. Nacido en Nicaragua y hablo Español.
Favorite music: From Barber of Seville to System of a Down, I have a broad music taste.
Favorite movies: Matrix, Lord of the Rings, recent Marvel films (too many to list), Big Fish, Star Wars, Star Trek, Berserker and other anime with interesting characters.
