Why I chose MFMR: I chose MFMR for the outstanding clinical training combined with unique opportunities that align with my career goals. The biggest draw was MFMR’s strong emphasis on
wilderness medicine and its commitment to addressing healthcare throughout the community.
During my training here, I’m eager to deepen my skills in wilderness medicine, learning how to provide care in remote and austere environments. I am equally excited to gain insight into public policy topics that influence healthcare delivery throughout different settings. This dual exposure will equip me with the clinical expertise and a system-wide understanding needed to respond effectively during humanitarian crises. Ultimately, I aspire to work with organizations such as Red Cross/Red Crescent and Médcins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), delivering aid where it is needed the most. The comprehensive training at MFMR will prepare me to serve with competence, adaptability and compassion from local to global stages!
