July 3, 2020 Health Officer Order Restricting Visitors to Senior Care Facilities.
Yellowstone County Health Officer, John Felton, issues an order restricting visitors to senior care facilities, except in cases of compassionate end-of-life care.  Compassionate care visitors must wear masks while in the facility. The order strongly recommends masks for all staff, vendors and contractors entering senior care facilities. You can read the Health Officer Order here.

March 20, 2020: Health Officer Order extended
Yellowstone County Health Officer, John Felton,has amended the March 16 Order temporarily closing some businesses. “In light of healthcare workers testing positive, I chose to be more aggressive in my action to slow down the spread of COVID-19.” –John Felton, Yellowstone County Health Officer and President&CEO of RiverStone Health. The new Order is effective 8 am MST on Saturday March 21, 2020 through April 10, 2020 at 11:59pm. It is subject to change based on this extremely dynamic situation. March 18, 2020: Here are the guidelines for establishments about cleaning and social distancing.
PLEASE NOTE: These guidelines must be followed and signed before businesses impacted by the Health Officer Order can re-open. We want to make it abundantly clear to businesses that even if they comply with everything in the guidelines to reopen, it does NOT mean they can re-open until the Health Officer Order is officially lifted. Businesses impacted by the Order will NOT automatically be able to open on Tuesday, March 24.

March 16, 2020: HEALTH OFFICER ORDER CLOSING RESTAURANTS, BARS, AND CASINOS: Yellowstone County Health Officer, John Felton, issues a Health Officer Order closing restaurants, bars and casinos starting Tuesday, March 17 at 8:00am for a period of time up to and through midnight March 23. “I think this is an unprecedented situation and I did not arrive at this decision lightly. This is the most difficult decision that I have made as a health officer.” – John Felton, Yellowstone County Health Officer and President and CEO of RiverStone Health.
