Our Successes
Incorporated in 2008, RiverStone Health Foundation is making an impact in the community.
Our successes include:
- The Building a Healthy Community campaign raised $4.2 million toward the construction of The RiverStone Health Clinic in the Ballard Center in 2018. Dr. Bill and Merilyn Ballard made the lead gift of $1 million to support increased access to preventive and primary healthcare as well as improving and expanding medical education opportunities for students.
- Through the community’s generosity, RiverStone Health Foundation helped build the in-patient RiverStone Health Hospice Home in west Billings in 2011. The home’s 12 private bedroom suites provide terminally ill patients and their families a home-like alternative
- 240 golfers participated in the 2019 Hospice Golf Tournament benefiting our patients. $53,000 was raised through the charity scramble at Laurel Golf Club to ensure all who need terminal comfort care receive those services. Thanks to our golfers and sponsors alike!
- RiverStone Health Foundation awards mini grants to new projects generated by skilled staff members who wish to complement healthcare services. In 2019 the cumulative awards surpassed $51,000 and 79 projects completed. The internal granting program translates donor gifts into immediately-deployed projects like at-home blood pressure cuffs for hypertensive patients and dental kits for students at our partner school, Orchard Elementary.
