The Great Hospital Adventure Puppet Show

Using characters that look like they stepped out of Sesame Street, the Great Hospital Adventure teaches kindergarteners through second graders about healthcare careers.

The puppet show begins with a brother and sister playing in the backyard. When the boy breaks his leg, his sister calls 911. As their adventure unfolds, they meet a paramedic, nurse, emergency room doctor, radiology technician, physical therapist and family doctor. The 30-minute story is told through puppetry, a video and a coloring book featuring the adventure.

Eastern Montana AHEC staff and students, along with local Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) students, present the show, which is designed to introduce young children to information about common medical professions and helps to ease their fear if they ever need medical treatment.
