Health Insurance Marketplace
Through the federal Health Insurance Marketplace you can find health coverage that fits your budget and meets your needs. RiverStone Health’s Certified Application Counselors give you balanced, fair and unbiased information to help you understand and compare your insurance options.
If you’ve recently moved, had a change in your family size or employment situation, you can enroll in the Marketplace within 60 days of your “life change event.” Tribal members can sign-up for Marketplace health coverage year-round. Open enrollment for those who do not have a life changing event or who are not a tribal member, must wait for the annual open enrollment period.
Get Started Today
Most people using the Marketplace will be able to save money on health insurance costs. To get started and find out how much you can save, you’ll need the following information:
- Social Security numbers and birth dates for family members
- Recent pay stubs and/or W-2 forms
- Information about health insurance you or your family could get from your jobs
Montana Medicaid and Montana HELP Plan
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services runs the Montana Medicaid program, which is available to some low-income Montanans. Montana Medicaid expansion, through the Montana HELP Plan, provides coverage to many more Montanans with limited incomes. The HELP Plan covers doctor visits, prescription drugs, emergency services, dental and vision services, chronic disease management and more. It is open to Montana residents, ages 19 through 64, who do not qualify for Medicare coverage and who meet the income guidelines. The plan provides insurance for individuals and families whose income is less than: $16,243 for a single person and less than $33,465 for a family of four.
